South Hill DevelopmentCategoryDevelopments, Homes
Mapos launched its sister real estate development company, Topos Development, and is producing its first project, a 22 modern home development in the Hudson Valley, 2 hours North of New York City.
The 130 acre site sits on the eastern ridge of South Hill with dramatic views of the Rondout Reservoir and the Shawangunk and Catskill mountains. Spread throughout the woods and ringing an open meadow, each of the home sites is located to take advantage of the views, sunlight and prevailing winds, and to disturb as little of the natural landscape as possible. The homes themselves are designed as a collection of modules that can be ordered and assembled on the hillside in a variety of ways. This gives the homeowner flexibility to customize their home and adapt it over time to fit their lifestyle.
Using the latest pre-fabrication techniques and sustainable technologies, the homes will be models for rapid delivery, and low-energy and maintenance. Built from local materials and furnished by the area’s growing number of artists and craftspeople, the South Hill Development will be an alpine retreat and adventure getaway.
