Since September 11, 2001, the New York Stock Exchange has ended tourist visits and tightened security, effectively closing itself off to the outside world. To counter this trend and highlight their brand development, global reach, and 21st century technological innovations in its trading practices, Mapos, in collaboration with Two-N, created a series of permanent security kiosks that also function as information centers for tourists. The NYSE “Walk-of-Fame” and interactive message boards in the area also extend the stock exchange out to the street. Central to this project was the integration of interactive LED screens within the famous facade, connecting the activities of the Exchange to pedestrians on the street and throughout the world.
