Juniper Restaurant

Juniper is the newest restaurant venture designed by Mapos for the Civetta Group. Juniper was conceived as reinvigoration to the restaurant offering of Beechwood Apartments in Long Island. The design focused on a few key areas to create big impact without disturbing too much of the existing space.
The design centered around a large wood trellis in the center of the double height space, intended to create a sense of intimacy in the monumental room. This created two seating zones allowing guests to feel protected in their own part of the space. A palette of white and wood created a spacious, clean and airy feeling highlighting the amount of natural light filling the space.
Planting was incorporated as an integral part of millwork insertions, creating a natural green filled space integrating nature into the design. A custom light source was also designed for the project, to mimic and reference back to the restaurant name, the three berry lights are dotted around the space creating a playful light object within the space.
Mapos was also commissioned to design the brand for the space.
