Congrats to everyone who worked on the design for Hotel Shocard! Last night was the awards gala for the 2016 Gold Key Awards for excellence in hospitality design, sponsored by Boutique Design Magazine, and we are pleased to announce that our design for Hotel Shocard won two awards! It was named Best Hotel Budget and Best Hotel Room Budget. We were inspired by the history of the hotel’s location in Times Square, incorporating elements of Broadway marquees throughout a classic material palette. By updating the expected use of these materials, we created a fully modern feel while capturing the gritty glamour of old New York. Thank you to Boutique Design and the Gold Key Awards for this recognition, we are so happy to receive this honor.
